St Mary's Priory


Structure of the Institute

The Priory Institute is situated in St. Mary's Priory, Tallaght, Dublin 24, Ireland, which was the house of studies (studium) of the Dominican friars since 1857. When the studium was relocated in 2000, the provincial chapter decided to set up the institute as a means of continuing the study of theology. Since then it has developed and become a significant centre of theological reflection in Ireland, particularly through its distance learning programme.

Patrons : the friars of the Dominican province, represented by the provincial and his council.

Board of Directors
: Patrick Lucey, provincial (chair), Anna Carroll, Gerard Norton (alternate, Thomas McInerney), Mary O'Driscoll (alternate, Lucina Montague), and Liam Walsh.
