The Priory Institute - a Dominican Centre for Theological Studies

Life in today’s world can be hectic. Sometimes it is worthwhile to stand back and reflect on why we are here and how we should lead our lives. From the perspective of a belief in God, theology addresses the whys, hows and wherefores of human existence.

What is distinctive about The Priory Institute is that it offers theology programmes by distance learning. The distance learning approach is particularly suitable for those who cannot attend classes regularly or who are unable to uproot themselves and move to some distant university. The Priory Institute is part of the Dominican tradition, with nearly a thousand years of theology behind it. It is Catholic and ecumenical in its approach. It seeks to engage with the best rational thinking of our times and brings the insights of different philosophical and religious thinkers to bear on the study of theology.
